Novi Stars: Una Verse

i got this off of eBay for like. $200. do i regret it? kind of. i really like this doll and wish the line went on for longer. such a creative and fun idea, and it's sad that it was gone so soon. if i had an infinite amount of money, i'd buy all the dolls. right now the novi stars doll i want the most has to either be nita light or mae tallick. (i think that's how you spell it lol)
i love the eyes and rooted eyelashes! sometimes i'll just stand around and look at it. honestly, i think the dolls are cuter than the illustration for some reason?? might be the size of the eyes on the face because they seem a lot smaller on the dolls!

recently i've kind of held off on buying any new monster high dolls because of their ai use. i was so excited when the river styxx collector doll came out, but was kind of put off by the ai.... such a shame that mattel's turned to using ai instead of real artists.
kind of hurts more when the side of this doll's box has the names of all the people who worked on making it. i love this doll. i love the colors, the box art, AND i'm glad they didn't go with another mermaid skirt! (side-eyeing haunt couture lagoona, fang vote rochelle, howliday clawdeen, howliday cleo.....)

acquisition date: ok i literally cannot remember ANY of the acquisition dates which makes me wonder why i even decided to add them in the first place????
my mom got her for me lol. her box is slightly damaged at the top but you can't see it in this picture thankfully. i think this is a pretty common opinion but i wish they incorporated a liiiitle more of the accent color in the outfits of the reel drama dolls other than the hair. funnily enough, this is my first lagoona doll. now that i think about it, i had fewer monster high dolls during my childhood than i thought.
Haunt Couture Cleo de Nile

the first monster high doll i got to start my collection! she was never my favorite character, and i didn't have any of her dolls, but i really like this one.
one thing that i think is weird is that i like dolls and toys more in-box than when i take them out. happened a lot when i was younger, lol. i think one reason i like this doll is that she's in-box, but i can also take off the clear plastic in the inside to feel the textures of the clothes and stuff, which is something that activates my neurons, for lack of better words. i really like the texture of her clothes and especially the tinsel in her hair.
was the texture of the clothes something anyone else was interested in when they were little? maybe. we live in a big world after all.
